KCA Wealth Management Names Jeffrey Alderfer, CFP®, Chief Operations Officer 

The 15-year financial planning veteran will develop business strategies to promote company culture and educate the public on the value of holistic financial planning

 

Camp Hill, Penn. – June 30, 2021 – KCA Wealth Management, a holistic financial planning firm serving Central Pennsylvania with office locations in Camp Hill, Hershey and Carlisle, announces Jeffrey Alderfer, CFP®, as the firm’s Chief Operations Officer (COO). Reporting directly to KCA Wealth Management president Brian Kennedy, Alderfer will oversee the firm’s ongoing operations and procedures including duties such as establishing comprehensive goals for performance and growth, designing and implementing business strategies and plans, managing relationships with the firm’s partners and vendors, and more.

Alderfer has extensive experience in leadership, financial planning and as a business owner. He founded his own firm, Alderfer Financial Planning, in 2005 and after being acquired by Convergent Financial Strategies, LLC, he served as the Director of Financial Planning. Most recently, he has spent the past five years as an adjunct professor at Temple University and Bryn Mawr College teaching personal finance and investing fundamentals. Alderfer also served more than 20 years as an active-duty Air Force pilot flying special operations, including missions in the first Gulf War, Bosnia conflict and Afghanistan. After the events of Sept. 11, 2001, Alderfer volunteered for Air Force Reserve until he reached the rank of Colonel before retiring in 2009.

 

Alderfer holds a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, has a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of California, and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
